HAPPY FATHERS DAY

My multi-faceted husband. Do you kind of understand our children now? He is a great man. Fun, funny, and most of all he loves his childrens mother and he loves his children!
My funny dad! You have been a great father full of lots of stories...sometimes the same one...but thats OK. You worked hard to provide for our growing family and took great care of our mom!

Steven embarked on fatherhood this year and is a natural. I knew he would be! He was always good with the kids in the ward, the neighborhood, wherever we went he was like the pied piper they would be following him, tackling him and he loves it. He is a great husband and father and will always do the right thing when it comes to his family! The love is apparent everytime I see you hold him!

My favorite picture of josh and his boys! Josh has had a different journey to fatherhood. WOW! You have amazed me! The tender feelings I feel when I see you with your boys.... I feel so proud of you and your unconditional love you have for them and their mother! However many little ones the Lord blesses you with will be some pretty lucky kids!
I look forward to two more boys that will become fathers. I know they will be just as amazing in their own ways! I feel so blessed to have such terrific kids who will know raise an incredible new generation! Love you guys so much!
Missing y' all today...

57 DAY FAST

Is this the most precious face you have ever seen?
We have been in a fight for him for a year. He was placed in Josh & Lindsey's home over a year ago by his birthmom...she wanted him to have a mom & a dad who loved each other. She wanted him in a stable home and a loving extended family
We went to court friday.
The judge will rule sometime in the next 57 days.
The birth father as he was walking out of court...court of lies...he told many...he stuck his tongue out at our birthmom.
I wished I had seen him. I have alot to say to him.
Where have you been?
Where were you when he had to have surgery?
Where were you when the bills needed to be paid?
Where were you when he fell down and needed a hug?
You have never asked about him
But you want to rip him out of the only family he knows?
You love him that much huh?
When you told her to have an abortion...you wanted him then?
So here we are 57 days and waiting...praying for much earlier.
I have asked all of my friends to pick a day in the next 57 days to fast and pray for Judge Kouris to keep Gavin in the R house.
Everyday that we have prayers and fasting will help him make the right decision. We dont know what day that will be...maybe it will be the day you pick to fast.
So pick a day...any day...fast starting at noon to noon the next day.
I dont want a minute without constant prayers coming from many sources directed to the heavens.
Josh & Lindsey have asked our family and friends to unite in prayer & fasting on this sunday.
And to attend the Temple if you can on Saturday.
We will be in the Washington DC Temple for several hours on saturday!
Come join us!
I know as we unite our prayers will be answered
"Petitioning Heavenly Father for the blessings we desire in our personal lives is good and proper. However, praying earnestly for others, both those whom we love and those who despitefully use us, is also an important element of meaningful prayer. Just as expressing gratitude more often in our prayers enlarges the conduit for revelation, so praying for others with all of the energy of our souls increases our capacity to hear and to heed the voice of the Lord." David Bednar
A big Thank you to all that have already emailed me FB me and called me with your willingness to unite with our family. I feel your love!
I have the most amazing friends!
THANK YOU!

Josh is 30!

Josh is 30 and I am officially old!
My baby boy turns 30 today.
WOW!
What a ride it has been.
30 yrs ago I was laying in a hospital bed with absolutely no idea what had just happened.
Josh wouldve been an only child had a sweet RS President not called me expressing her concern that I was having my baby at home.
REALLY REALLY LONG story...
I had toxemia...almost died...lost consciousness...they threw josh to poncho and he stood in the corner while code reds...ppl running in and out...shooting me with stuff to get my blood pressure up from ZERO!
I was out of it for 36 hrs.
Didn't see my baby until the next day. He was perfect!
The Lord saw fit to spare me...to send an angel to me...5 more children later with an awesome older brother...or "3rd parent"as we used to call him.
He is an amazing father, husband, son, brother.
It has been a joy to watch him turn into a fine man!
One who honors his priesthood
Who loves his wife
Who handles adversity with grace
Who is one of the most amazing fathers
I love you soooo much son!
Glad I survived the past 30 yrs of your life to witness the incredible man you have become!

TO MY SOON TO BE DADDY (sept) YOU ARE ABOUT TO TAKE ON ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT, GRUELING, NEVER ENDING , SATISFYING ROLES OF YOUR LIFETIME. I KNOW YOU WILL BE AMAZING! CAN'T WAIT! YOU HAVE A GREAT ROLE MODELS IN YOUR LIFE....
TO MY SON WHOM I HAVE OBSERVED THESE LAST 2 YEARS AS HE HAS TAKEN ON THE ROLE OF FATHERHOOD...I AM SO PROUD OF THE MAN, FATHER, DADDY YOU HAVE BECOME. YOU HAVE TAKEN TO IT SO NATURALLY. I HAVE GOTTEN TEARS IN MY EYES AS I HAVE WATCHED YOU WITH YOUR BOYS JUST DOING THE MUNDANE EVERYDAY STUFF. YOU ARE A NATURAL! YOU WERE MEANT TO BE A DADDY!

OUR INCREDIBLE FAMILY!!

THANKS PONCHO FOR BEING SUCH A GREAT DAD TO THESE AMAZING KIDS!

AND A FUN G-DIDDY!

TO MY DAD: BEING RAISED BY A THERAPIST MAKES FOR AN INTERESTING CHILDHOOD. I REMEMBER ONE TIME AS A TEEN RANTING...MY DAD PULLED OUT A TAPE RECORDED PUSHED PLAY AND SAID "NOW WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO A PERSON WHO SOUNDED LIKE THAT?" I SWORE IT WASNT ME. OF COURSE, I KNEW IT WAS.

HE WAS ALOT OF FUN TO TALK TO AND I BELIEVE I AM FASCINATED WITH WHY PEOPLE ARE THE WAY THEY ARE BECAUSE OF ALL THE STORIES HE WOULD TELL US OF THE CRAZIES! HE WAS ALWAYS SO HELPFUL AROUND THE HOUSE. ALWAYS ON THE GO DOING, WALKING, PLAYING SPORTS OR WATCHING THEM, READING.

THANKS DAD FOR BEING A GREAT FATHER!

WE LOVE YOU!

It is not flesh and blood but the heart which makes us fathers and sons. ~Johann Schiller
