Her Companions Sister Davis & Sister Sybrowski
Hola Familia y amigos!Well it has been an awesome week! I think I grew the most this week in so many aspects. It was hard but sooo good. I feel so lucky to be here at the MTC where I get the chance to grow. Plus I feel the spirit almost all day EVERYDAY and it is amazing!Guess who we got this week..... ELDER L. TOM PERRY!!!!!!! It was being talked about for a few days that we should be getting an apostle but no one was for sure. Once the director told us that we should stand if an apostle walked in we knew and everyone giggled like little kids on Christmas. It was wonderful to feel the difference as he walked into the room. Everyone stared and gasped. Some on the ground were standing up on their tippy toes trying to see who it was. I feel so grateful for the opportunity to be in the same room as his. It's interesting being companions with someone who meets apostles all the time. I wouldn't say that she isn't as interested or as excited but maybe different then me who rarely ever has been in the same room as one. He talked about companionships and the importance of them. I really am striving to love my companions. They make it pretty easy though. They def are not as lovey dovey as me, Sis Davis has a hard time with hugs, but it works. I actually make their beds sometimes too (shocking I know)! We also got to go the Last Draper temple dedication which was way cool. Being able to hear from the Prophet is always amazing. I wish I would have listen more as a kid. We are so lucky to live in a time where we can hear from a Prophet of God. Can you imagine how horrible life probably was during the dark ages???As for sad news...We just hear one of the elders can't come back and the other one probably wont :( It breaks my heart. We had to say goodbye to two other Elders who were headed to the DR MTC. Every tuesday after the devo we have a district testimony meeting and I was able to take the opportunity to tell all my district how much they inspired me individually. I really think it touched one of the Elders a lot. Elder Tew(he is the one who sent HAYBAY a tape... I wonder if she got it, I talked on it) he is someone who really just needs so love. You can tell he never has gotten much. EVERYONE does though my favorite scripture is D&C 18:10.I love this work and I am so grateful to be here. Thank you to all of you who have supported me!! I LOVE YOU!!!YO SE QUE DIOS VIVE!!!!!

P.S. On Tuesday last week my back was hurting again so I went to the doctor who sent me to the BYU clinic down the street for some x-rays.
While waiitng in the lobby, I saw a Hispanic man so I decided to go share my testimony with him. (In Spanish, of course.) After I was done, he tried to talk to me some more in Spanish. I informed him right away that I have only been learning Spanish for 2 weeks. He was shocked, "speechless," he said. I also found out the wasn't Mormon. An exchange student from Mexico going to BYU. I told him it was because of the Book of Mormon that I learned Spanish so fast. Really it's the Holy Ghost but i want him to find that out through the BOM. I was getting so excited to have a real contact and then I got called back! I was frustrated and said a prayer hoping my comps would talk to him. When I was leaving, I saw him but couldn't say anything because he was about to go for an x-ray. When I came back, my comps were freaking out! They talked to him after I left and found out he had met with the misionaries once before and ENJOYED it! But before they could get his info, he got called back. So, I took it upon myself and walked back to find him, got his address and we got it to the mission home here.
It was so awesome! We all really needed that experience to lift our spirits. On the way back, we shared out testimony 3 other time. We were bouncing off the walls. Missionary work is the best!

CHRIS LETTER-
On tuesday we were going to go contacting and we went to a house of a member so Elder Taylor could use the bathroom before. Than the hermano of the house whos oldish guy says he would like a blessing, and he was so glad they came. The member of the house was in the other pair of missionaries area, so me and my comp didnt know him, and assumed one of them would give the blessing. So we circled around him and Elder Martinez got ready, but than the man stopped him, and looked at me, and said, will you give it please. I was shocked. I had never given a blessing in spanish, only had done an uncion, or done the oil part. (how do you say that?) and so i was nervous. SO i gave it, and just tried not to think of things to say, which can be kinda easy when your not a natural born in the language. SSo i just said some things, and it was over. But the guy stood up emotional, gave me a hug, and said, that, that was from abov, that was from God. The spirit talks to us in many ways. I´ve never claimed to be one who says they have heard a voice, or at a precise moment knew exactly what to say. But i´ve felt the urges to do things, and not recognized it as the spirit until maybe after i did it. I wanted to share these things with you all fam. I love the mission, by golly it aint easy, neither do i want it to be. Becasue frankly alot of elders here make theeir mission ¨easy¨. But Elder Redfern´s have established a tradtition, of workin your tail off. I can improve so much, im not a perfect missionary, and never will be. But i will strive to be one. Alma 26:12... I love you. thanks, eternally, for the support you give me here. I couldnt do it without it. I always was that cocky kid, and still am, but i´ve realized here im nothing without the fam. You shaped me, molded me, and loved me. Thank you. I love you all
