Church Response to Haiti Earthquake
SALT LAKE CITY 13 January 2010 We express our sympathy and prayers on behalf of the citizens of Haiti following the recent devastating earthquake. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is immediately shipping humanitarian relief, including personal hygiene kits and supplies for newborns. Efforts are underway to determine further humanitarian response in coordination with government and disaster relief organizations. Donations for relief efforts can be made at http://give.lds.org/emergencyresponse.
All missionaries serving in the country are safe, and we continue efforts to account for Church members in the area.

I recently came across an expression in the scriptures "God-Ward"
I wasnt sure what it meant. But it makes so much sense.
Are we going forward...backward...or Godward?
I have been pondering the meaning lately.
Am I moving Godward? Are my actions Godward? Are my thoughts Godward? Is what I am watching moving me Godward. The way I treat others, service, missionary work?
Is it Godward?
I have had to re-evaluate myself.
Am I a spectator or a full participant ready to be drawn into action in the cause of truth?
As we do this we will not be drawn into the battles of darkness but live in the full light of the Gospel.
I know this to be true!

GENERAL CONFERENCE

When we honor ourselves by paying close attention to the words of the living prophets. it seems that the Lord's promises distill on us like spring rain.
"And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought...and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not" (Isaiah 58:11).
What a beautiful weekend! I love Saturday conference. Especially loved Henry B Eyrings talk. Felt him speaking to me. Can't wait to be able to read it!
Looking forward to tomorrow!
