D-Day

Today at 1:30 Utah time we will be in the court room where Joniece relinquished her rights...where the trial was last month to hear the ruling on Gavins adoption.

It is a scary time. it is a hopeful time. It is a time to exercise more faith than I have ever had to.

As I have snuggled and loved on him today several times tears have welled in my eyes.

He belongs to our family.

He has a right to be sealed to a family for time & eternity

He has a right to have a mom & dad who cherish him

An extended family that will be there to support him thru the trials and joys of his life.

He has a right to have his big brother who says " i love you Gavi"

So today at 1:30 his life will be determined by a judge who will either give him all those rights or take them away.

And so I say another prayer...the 100 something one this morning...that the judge will give him all the rights he deserves!

57 DAY FAST

Is this the most precious face you have ever seen?
We have been in a fight for him for a year. He was placed in Josh & Lindsey's home over a year ago by his birthmom...she wanted him to have a mom & a dad who loved each other. She wanted him in a stable home and a loving extended family
We went to court friday.
The judge will rule sometime in the next 57 days.
The birth father as he was walking out of court...court of lies...he told many...he stuck his tongue out at our birthmom.
I wished I had seen him. I have alot to say to him.
Where have you been?
Where were you when he had to have surgery?
Where were you when the bills needed to be paid?
Where were you when he fell down and needed a hug?
You have never asked about him
But you want to rip him out of the only family he knows?
You love him that much huh?
When you told her to have an abortion...you wanted him then?
So here we are 57 days and waiting...praying for much earlier.
I have asked all of my friends to pick a day in the next 57 days to fast and pray for Judge Kouris to keep Gavin in the R house.
Everyday that we have prayers and fasting will help him make the right decision. We dont know what day that will be...maybe it will be the day you pick to fast.
So pick a day...any day...fast starting at noon to noon the next day.
I dont want a minute without constant prayers coming from many sources directed to the heavens.
Josh & Lindsey have asked our family and friends to unite in prayer & fasting on this sunday.
And to attend the Temple if you can on Saturday.
We will be in the Washington DC Temple for several hours on saturday!
Come join us!
I know as we unite our prayers will be answered
"Petitioning Heavenly Father for the blessings we desire in our personal lives is good and proper. However, praying earnestly for others, both those whom we love and those who despitefully use us, is also an important element of meaningful prayer. Just as expressing gratitude more often in our prayers enlarges the conduit for revelation, so praying for others with all of the energy of our souls increases our capacity to hear and to heed the voice of the Lord." David Bednar
A big Thank you to all that have already emailed me FB me and called me with your willingness to unite with our family. I feel your love!
I have the most amazing friends!
THANK YOU!

A SPECIAL DAY FOR 2 REASONS

Today is Lindsey's 30th birthday!
Happy Birthday!
You couldn't find a better mom, wife and DIL!
She is amazing. She is one of the most creative persons I know!
Passionate! Oh Yeah!
Have you read her blog? therhouse@blogspot.com
She is a gifted writer. I think she should publish! I think she should speak at women's conference.
She is a fierce advocate for children & Adoption.
We are lucky to have her in our family...her special day is shared with one of the best days at the Redferns home...all the Redferns...

Tysons
placement day!
J&L brought him home from the hospital on her birthday..What a gift he was! A gift to our whole family. He turned 2 Saturday. We took him to the Heber Creeper because he is obsessed with trains. He was mesmerized the entire 1 1/2 hrs. He is a gem. Such a good little 2 yr old. I got to watch him today and overnight on this special day. I have become teary several times today as I have looked into those gorgeous eyes of his and thought how blessed we are to have him. I cant let this day go without thanking a very important person whom without her this day would not exist.

THANK YOU NICOLE!
Because of your unselfishness our lives will never be the same! We love you!
