THIS WEEKS EMAILS

Mission Presidents Wife
Hola!!!

Yet another awesome week has clown by in the misión field! We saw many wonderful blessings this Sunday. The teenage girls we are teaching came dressed in skirts and everything. We had 8 investigators again and a few inactive members who we always invite to come to church actually came. One of them is a taxi driver so we asked him to help us find some people in the morning and then to stay in the first hour of church and he did!!! Sometimes people just need an invitation.
We had a special conference where we got to go stay at the mission home for 2 days. We played games and had so many wonderful spiritual moments. I realized that it would be the only moment that I would be in the mission home with that many missionaries for that much time and I really enjoyed it. The focus was working as a team and having a positive attitude. And of course I have to let you know that the sisters beat the elders in almost everything. Luckily they were good losers and we were able to keep the spirit of unity ;). Seriously, we beat them in a relay race and basketball! Ha ha I have calmed down a lot but there still is a competitive nature in me. You should have seen me eat the alfajor (a type of chocolate brownie thingy here) and somehow I still can shoot once in a while…
This week we are preparing 4 young girls to be baptized. Carla, 19, our golden investigator loved church and wants to be baptized asap. And the sisters Sabrina 17, Aylene 15, and Maira 13 are all progressing so well, I love these girls with all of my heart we have had many special moments together. And hopefully we will have a really spiritual baptism so that the family we are working will feel the spirit strongly!
I love this work so much. My friend recently reminded me to finish off my mission strong here in the last stretch, he said just like basketball coaches use to say “run through the line”. I hope I can find the strength in my Savior and push it these last few months, I know there are miracles to be seen!
I love you all! Keep in touch and KEEP THE FAITH!!!

hey all!
well we finished another change here in poza rica and me and my comp are staying together. We are hoping to have a good change this up coming one, and trying to keep up0 the hard work. We had a great week. On Friday a lady got baptized that we had been teaching for three months and it has been a process long and journey but completely worth every minute of it. its was amazing to be able to see her enter the waters of baptism. so much testimony born and given, and it feels so good to know that she can have these blessings forever. This is is exactly why we come and do this work. TO bless the lives of others. We have been teaching a really really humble family that has had many problems.. and we have been trying to help them in all we can do. we were able to find a house, clean it all up make some makeshift windows and floor so that they could live there, and it just so happens to be in the some complex that we live in. they are right next to and below us. Some members thought we were helping them to much, but i was talking to one of my great friends who just became the assistant and he said, ah let them be, we have only two years to worry about everyone else except ourselves, maybe if you had a family and everything you wouldn't be able to do all this, but this is your only chance to leave everything, and just serve the children of God. Oh what a true blessing that is. To completely focus ourselves in the service to the sons of our Lord. I love it. I just want to keep on doing this. Time is going by too fast. This change there was a lot more baptisms in the city than there had been in a while, and its great to know that the other elders are having success. I hope you all have an amazing week and keep moving forward.
