My name is Annette McCabe from Marshfield Wisconsin. My husband Steve and I were in Papantla Mexico with a group from the Wisconsin Lions Club, giving used eye glasses to the people who cannot afford to buy glasses. Your son Chris and some of the other LDS missionaries helped us as translators, since many of us are not fluent in Spanish. I want you to know what a fine young man Chris is! He not only was very helpful as a translator, but he was very kind and compassionate to the people we were working with. We were very impressed with him, and I am sure you are proud of him. I was supposed to call you on Valentines Day, but I did not get an answer and was not 100% sure I had the right number, so did not leave a message. So this is a late Valentine greeting to you from Chris!I also want to assure you that Chris looks very healthy and happy, and seems to be completely enjoying his Mexican experience. We are glad we got to meet him.
