a su mecha...So this week was a little hard, considering on the way travelling to my district meeting, i sprained my ankle again. The bad one. But i seem to be alright. I couldn't really do much this week at all. WE live on a huge hill, and theres only a couple paved roads, and so its still painful to get around, but its gotta be done. I tried not to get mad or frustrated, but i did feel sad one day icing my ankle just thinking that i was being detained from preaching the Gospel, and now it just motivates me more to find those chosen sons and daughters of God, find the elect, and bring them into the true and marvelous Gospel of Jesus Christ, meanwhile planting seeds for missionaries to come. I think i will be all right. I am seeking the Lords will in all the things that happen, and try to find what lesson i can and should be learning. I had`plenty of time to read this week, which was an upside. I´ve been reading more than ever on the mission, and i see the blessing of not being distracted by TV, by music that doesn't invite the spirit, by texting chatting, or frankly just worrying about what actor wrecked their car drunk. Theses things frankly have no utility in our daily lives. TV is not naturally bad, but the countless hours i spent watching nothing couldve have been used more wiselier(word?). I ask us to put our priorities in perspective, and to dedicate more time to the words of the Living Prophets, as well as those from the before. I love you all so much! My little sister is a woman! .

Hermana Redferns birthday celebration

Hola!!!This has been yet another week full of blessings and lessons learned. When you show just a little bit of faith the Lord really does bless you. We ended up leaving about 9 investigators last week. Eternal investigators, people who always let us in but never wanted to take the extra step to change. So we let them go, it was hard but we knew that if we wanted to find the people that the Lord has been preparing and are ready to put him first we had to. Because of our willingness to let some people go we have seen MIRACLES!! (Lindsey, it reminds me of our favorite talk from Elder Busche!!)We ran into Alejandra (a mother who supports adoption!) who use to go to an LDS church when she was a kid but never listened to the missionaries, she let us right in and informed us also that her husband also when to the LDS church when he was a kid! We contacted Gabriel, 20 years old, on the street who already has a book of mormon and told us before we even asked him that he would pray to see if what we were teaching him is true.Carolina, 22 years old, who was a contact from the Elders who lost her mom 3 years ago and has been searching for something to help guide her in her life. Favian a father of 4 who is married to a member (the sister of our Bishop) but has NEVER once listened to missionaries. Sonja a mother of 4 who is a member but went inactive 10 years ago and wants to come back. In those 10 years not one member or missionary ever has knocked her door. Her new husband loves to learn about more about other religions and is opened minded to listening to us.Susana, she has been friends of members for years but never once talked to the missionaries. The BOM for her is gold and wants to know the truth. And yesterday we taught Guillermo on the street (he doesnt live in out area, he has an appointment with the elders tonight) who has listened to about 10 missionaries but still has a little doubt, but he is hungering for the truth. We committed him to baptism October 10. There are people waiting, wanting, hungering for the truth and I am so grateful to be apart of this great work. You can too! Just open your mouth! There are tons of people ready and willing to listen!
I love you all!!!
