THIS WEEKS EMAILS

Hey all!WEll first full week here in Espinal, and it went great. We had a lot of help from the branch members. The church is always true no matter where you go. WE meet in a little house of prayer, but the people don't complain. Its really humbling to see the love and generosity of some of the members here, who have literally next to nothing, giving me food to eat. Its truly amazing the way the lord can change the heart of a man or woman. There is a family here who apenas got baptized three months ago, and the mom is already teaching seminary. They hadn't had seminary in years, but the Lord always puts the way. This is gonna be a challenge, because there is also some little problems in the area with some things, but i know i need to really humble myself, and rely on the Lord to be able to do it. Not gonna lie, this morning i woke up, and wished i could talk to my best friend elder sanchez, and ask how he would do it, kids a stud. But i know the Lord commands nothing without preparing the way before it. We have some good investigators, 20 percent of the people at church were investigators ha. We hope to progress with them more this week, but being so small espinal many work out of town all week, but we have to do what we can. I am eternally grateful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am thinking about reading Jesus the Christ again, because if theres won thing that gives me ganas or desires to work, it would be Him. Like Sister Redfern said, everyone is a child of God. Everyone. And baptism is the first saving ordinance we can do. I just am so grateful for you all, and all the support i´ve had hear, i know i would be nowhere without you guys. I love you all, have a great week.

Hola todos!!This week so far has been rocking!! Miracles happen…we were outside waiting for a member to show up so that we could head into a house and teach a single man. The member said she was going to be about 20 min so we decide to knock a few doors. We turned into a little alleyway where their were apartments and saw a women and her daughter walking into their apt, we ran to catch her before she could get in and deny us. We presented ourselves and then she said, “Yea, I know, I am an inactive member. Come in.” Lorana was baptized in 1997 but soon after went inactive. She balled her eyes out as she told us that her husband left her 4 months ago and she started smoking again. She has been feeling like coming back to church but just hasn’t been able to do it. The day before she had talked with the Testigos de Jehovah (Jehovah Witnesses) and said how it just felt different. Hna Burns explained, “That is because you have the Holy Ghost, it testifies of truth”. What an amazing gift that we as members have. This is the gift that keeps us from temptation and is the gift we are promised to have if we stay worthy. And even if we are struggling and are seeking out the truth it will help us. BUT how COOL is that, that we were in the right place at the right time. The Lord NEVER forgets his children. The really cool thing is that she is SUPER excited to get back to church and help; she already is inviting her neighbors to hear us. She is going to be a blessing to our branch of 20!Everyday I learn more and more. I feel truly blessed to be serving the Lord. I am learning how important this work is to do for the REST of our lives. I have also realized life doesn’t get easier, everyday we have more of a responsibility to bring ourselves and others unto our Heavenly Father. I love you all. The work continues to move forward! Keep the Faith and know that THIS IS THE TRUE CHURCH OF GOD!!!And for those of you that are struggling...This is one of my favorites D&C 121:1-9!
