MONDAY EMAILS

Hey all! well another week came and went here in Mexico.. WEek was weird weather wise.. it was scorching on monday and tuesday and wednesday was horrible.. complete solazo.. But than it rained on nthursday and friday.. And last night at 1230 i woke up to the biggest lightning storm and rain pourage i´ve ever seen.. the sky literally lit up with lightning every 10 seconds.. and two were sooooo close and loud it sounded as if the sky tore in half.. settting off car alarms and wutnot.. just crazy stuff.. So this week we had some great days where we got accepted by a ton of people.. but other days wher no1 wanted any part of us. We also got two more missionaries in the ward this week because of how big the area is.. (ha they even said their area is so big.. and we were like. ha we had your area AND our area the last 6 weeks) but yea so now we are four and we all spoke on sunday to try and animate the ward about missionary work.. the ward has had some not so great experiences with missionaries in the past.. so we are really trying to turn that around. So This is also the last change with this president, he´s got 5 weeks left and he´s counting the days haha. We have baptismsm coming up, as long as everything goes planned.. we just gotta keep teaching them simple, because they feel like they dont know enough and theyll go and ¨that bishop guy will ask me hard questions and say i cant come back anymore¨ but they really are progressing and understanding a lot more than they think. But yea everything else is pretty chill, hope we´ll see some more progression from other people we are teaching this week, its hard to get people to understand the importance of going to church and the sabbath day, but we´ll jsut have to teach better.. hope you all have a great week.. i love you all!Elder Redfern

HOLA DE JUAN DE GARAY!!!I am so glad to hear that things are going well in our ward at home with missionary work. The sisters are on fire!!! I just need to inform you on something…yes we did have 6 programmed for baptism but we are suppose to program people right away. We teach, then ask if they want to work toward getting baptize. Then we set a date and try to work with them. Teach them and get them to church. We are still trying to work with those 6 but a few of them are these great kids who just don’t have the support needed from their mom or dad. Its rough, we were teaching one of the boys about how he is a child of God and his eyes LITE up. I really didn´t know what was going on but I could see the happiness in his face. It was wonderful. The work has slowed A LOT since my first week. This whole week it rained and was super cold. Around here people do not leave there house if it rains or if it is cold. Which is interesting that we didn´t teach much at all be we KNOW people are in their houses. People here are very receptive, VERY, but they think that we are just sent to help them through hard times. They just want us to come over and teach them so they can feel the spirit but not actually go to church. We have 80 plus members in our branch and only 16 (counting us) were there on Sunday. We have an amazing Investigator, Elsa. She is on fire. She is so ready, she just isn´t married. She has already given a talk in church haha. Her boyfriend and her have been together for 21 years and they are planning on getting married in August. We are trying to figure out a way to get them to get it done earlier. As for a funny note…I got peed on yesterday but a little rat dog. It was like 5 at night and we were way too far from our pension so I just had to deal till 9 at night! SICK! Anyways I don’t have a lot of time today. Sorry I didn´t get out many emails our pday was wacked today. I wont be able to email till next Tuesday and after that my pdays are changed to Wednesday.I LOVE YOU ALL!!WRITE ME!!!hna Redfern
