Hola!!!!It has now been almost two weeks in the mission field and things are still going great. I am not going to lie...hard...but great! I am grateful every night for the amazing companion that I have because without her I don´t know if I could handle it. From day one we have been working so hard. Hna Burns speed walks while I follow like a little puppy. Though the other day I lead the way for the first time. I have never worked so hard in my life. My branch president told me in the MTC that I had spent a lot of my life avoiding growing and pushing myself (sounds harsh but it was very loving) and now the Lord is making me! And I LOVE IT. I didn´t think hard work could be so fun. I still need to be better at speaking spanish with my comp, we just get a long so well and could talk for hours that it is hard to want to in a language I still really don't know. I am progressing everyday but still am TERRIBLE! :) We programed 6 people for baptism this week! We almost hit all of our goals but were a little short. The nice thing about not knowing much spanish is that I can keep the lesson on track and ask bold questions with out offending people. I just interrupt when Hna Burns gives me the look and jump the lesson back on track. I am really trying to make sure I show as much love as I can for these people. A lot of them really don´t know how to love. The other day we were leaving teaching Mari, Juan and their family and I said "les quiero" and they looked at me kinda crazy, I thought I must have said it wrong but then they responded back and hugged me. Later Hna burns said they were just surprised because people don´t say that around here. I had me first "asado" yesterday with our neighbors. Basically it is sitting a table being served plate after plate of meat. The meat is TRULY AMAZING. All they eat her is bread and meat. It is a good thing we do a lot of walking. But honestly I don't even care anymore if I put on a few pounds (I def will still be careful!). We got lunch the other day from members who forgot they were feedings us so they just warmed up some left over meat from their lunch and served it to us. Just meat...nothing else.I never could imagine how tough this mission was going to be. Some days it is really hot and your energy is low but if you push through it and have faith, work hard the lord will provide. We come home every night EXHAUSTED, but we have seen so many blessings come from our labors.I love you all. THIS CHURCH IS TRUE! Keep the FAITH! I was reading in Helaman today and these Scriptures really stuck out to me chapter 3:27-28. Read them.
